Uses :

Fertiliser, because of easily available high nitrogen content. In animal feeds. Is reacted with aldehydes to make resins and plastics. Is condensed with malonic ester to form barbituric acid. Used extensively in the paper industry to soften cellulose. Im ammoniated dentrifrices.

2.1 Health Effects - Acute

Swallowed

No adverse effects expected, however large amounts may cause gastrointestinal irritation.

Eye

May be an eye irritant.

Skin

Repeated or prolonged skin contact may result in mild irritation

Inhalation of dust in high concentrations may result in respiratory irritation.

Swallowed

Rince mouth with water. Give plenty of water to drink. DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical assistance.

Irrigate with copious quantities of water for 15 minutes. In all cases of eye contimination, it is a precaution to seek medical advice.

Skin

Wash contaminated skin with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before re-use. If irritation occurs seek medical attention.

Inhaled

Remove victim from exposure - avoid becoming a casualty. Seek medical attention.
